Three generations of pigeon breeders, one backyard loft that grew into one of the Mid-Atlantic's most respected European-bloodline breeding programs.
Villa's Family Loft began the way most family lofts begin — a single pair of birds, a wooden loft built by hand, and a child who refused to give up feeding time. What started in 1998 as a weekend project has grown, across three generations, into a serious breeding program with documented European bloodlines and birds that have placed at the top of regional race sheets.
There was never a corporate plan. The family loft grew because three kids grew up watching their grandparents band squeakers, because someone was always home at feeding time, because every bird we sold came with an honest answer about what it was — and what it wasn't. That hasn't changed.
Today the loft is run by the second generation, with the third generation learning to band birds and read pedigrees. Every bird we sell still ships with the same documentation standards we built our name on. The loft is family-run on purpose. It shows up in the birds, and it shows up in the way we work with buyers.
A bird without documented ancestry is a guess. Every bird we sell — racer, breeder, or young bird — ships with a full 3-generation pedigree and band numbers traceable through our online database.
We don't cross lines loosely. Pairs are selected for genetic compatibility and proven performance — not novelty. Our pedigree documentation protects buyers from unmarked "Janssen-influenced" claims.
We breed toward results, not just looks. Our foundation birds come from lofts with documented race wins, and our breeding candidates are paired based on track ancestry as much as conformation.
The loft is run by the same family that built it. That means daily attention, hands-on care, and a long view — not a sales-agenda. Our name is on every bird that leaves here.
Send us a message — we answer personally. Inquire about birds, plan a visit, or ask about joining the family loft's circle of buyers and friends.
